LightMe Kick Off Meeting (KOM), Milan, 29-31 January 2019

The kick-off meeting was held between 29th to 31st of January at Politecnico Di Milano, Milano, Italy. Due to the multidisciplinary nature of the project and the complex structure of the WPs it was decided that a 3 days meeting is necessary in order to analytically discuss the various aspects and set the necessary basis for the progress of the next 6 months.

During the meeting all issues related to the commencement of the LightMe project were presented.
More specifically, the discussion and presentation during the KoM covered the following topics:

Partners introduction. The first session covered a short introduction to the partners of the consortium, their experience and competences that will assist to the proper implementation of the project.

Introduction to the LightMe project. An extended presentation concerning the LightMe project ans how this project is differentiated from other Horizon 2020 research project. The focus was given in the creation of the LightMe Ecosystem and its sustainability aspects.

Presentation of the WPs of the project. The presentation were made based on the three phases of the project as set in the DoA:

  • The set up of the Ecosystem in terms of managerial structure and communications tools together with the presentation of the Pilot Lines and the projected modification and upgrades that will took place during the first part of the project
  • Presentation of the 8 selected test cases. Specifications and requirements where set by the end users in both technical and non-technical aspects
  • Presentation of the a roadmap towards the extroversion activities and the sustainability of the ecosystem including aspects of business planning, access to additional funding.
  • The KoM was fruitful and a lot of discussions took place during the presentations with relevant questions and comments. Also bilateral and group discussions took place during the breaks in order to arrange the first steps of cooperation between the partners.
